Nord Hostel

When you arrive with your backpack in a foreign city, on little more than a shoestring, you half expect to have to traipse to some distance corner of town just to rest your sleepy head. From its whereabouts on the Bolshaya Morskaya you are just a hop and a skip away from the Nevsky Prospect (St. Petersburg main thoroughway) and a jump further and you'll find yourself at the gates of the Hermitage! What else do you want to know? Its smart and clean with free brekkie and internet access.

"It is the worst hostel Iīve been in my life, worst than in Latin America ones or Africa. The only thing you pay is location. We were there one week and it was never nver cleaned, not even the microscopic bathroom, constantly full of hair. The staff once they get the money, they just disappear; Frankly i donīt understand the good reviews, it was terrible;"

"What a wonderful location. Literally within walking distance of the most important sights in St Pete's. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the facilities were adequate for a backpackers hostel."
