Bolshoi Gostiny Dvor

It's difficult to miss the vast yellow frontage of Bolshoi Gostiny Dvor, St. Petersburg's oldest and most impressive shopping centre. Dating back to the 18th Century the Gostiny Dvor was one of the first shopping arcades anywhere in the world - a grand building of over a hundred shops which took twenty eight years to complete. Much work has been done since and today BGD remains one of the most fashionable places to shop in the city. Stores like Christian Lacroix, Givenchy and J.P. Gaultier will happily reconstitute your credit card into a worthless piece of plastic. Open until 22:00 every night.

they have the most cutest things there and i bought so much designer stuff there, i just luv that place

Wow this is a really cool place. Much nicer than the malls back home. Picked up loads of designer stuff - although most of it was more expensive than in teh US. I just couldn't help myslef!
